Chill Nepal (“we”, “us”) provides a travel guide and related services for Nepal through our mobile app and website (the “Service”). This policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.

Data we collect

• Account data — email address, name/display name, and sign-in details when you register with email/password or Google / Apple Sign In.
• Profile data — optional display name and profile photo you upload.
• App activity — saved places, trip plans, reviews, reports, and business enquiry (lead) messages you submit.
• Business listings — if you register as a business owner, listing details and contact information you provide for that listing.
• Location — approximate location only when you use nearby search or similar features that require coordinates you or your device provide.
• Technical data — session tokens, IP address, and user agent used to keep you signed in and secure the Service.
• Uploaded media — images you upload for avatars or listings, stored in our object storage.

How we use data

• Provide and improve the Service (accounts, search, trips, listings).
• Authenticate you and protect against abuse.
• Show your content to other users when you publish reviews or listings.
• Respond to support requests and legal obligations.
• Optionally power AI trip suggestions using your prompt and curated place data — never by selling your personal account data.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Infrastructure providers we use to host the API, database, and file storage.
• Sign-in providers (Google, Apple) when you choose those options — subject to their policies.
• Other users for public content you choose to publish (for example reviews or business profiles).
• Authorities when required by law or to protect safety and rights.

Retention

We keep account and profile data while your account is active. After you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data as described on the Delete account page, except where we must retain limited records for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Your choices

• Update profile fields in the app.
• Delete your account and associated personal data via the app or the Delete account page.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new effective date on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
